Problem
Pura, PureHealth's consumer-facing super-health app, was usable but not pleasant to use, and it wasn't doing enough to keep users retained and satisfied. It read as a set of disconnected screens with little visual hierarchy, so I set out to find where it fell short of what a super-health app should feel like.

Central Question
How could Pura become one coherent place for a user's health, trustworthy and easy to act on, not just easy to open?
-
Result
I rebuilt Pura around a dashboard-first experience with one consistent visual language, and user satisfaction rose 60%. Alongside it, a cybersecurity dashboard I designed for a mega facility in Abu Dhabi contributed to a 50% increase in revenue tied to the engagement.
The full story
I joined as CX/UI Designer in August 2023 to lead a full UI revamp aimed at a specific, hard-to-fake goal: increasing user retention and satisfaction by making the app actually pleasant to use, not just usable, with handoff-ready documentation for the development team.
Research
I didn't want to jump straight to screens, so I ran the redesign through the Double Diamond framework (discover, define, develop, deliver). In discover and define, I ran focus groups and competitive analysis to see where the existing app fell short of what a "super-health" app should feel like. In develop and deliver, I used affinity mapping, rapid prototyping, and A/B testing to check each direction against real user behavior before committing to a final design.
Old vs. new
Side by side, the problem is easy to see: disconnected screens with little visual hierarchy. I replaced them with a cohesive, dashboard-first experience built around clear data visualization and a consistent visual language.

Design system
To keep the redesign consistent as it scaled across the app, I built a component library and design language (buttons, cards, charts, and states) used throughout every screen, and handed off to engineering as living documentation.
Key flows redesigned
The revamp touched every major flow in the app, not just the dashboard.
Sign up & sign in
The entry point to the whole app: the first impression a new user forms of whether Pura is worth trusting with their health data.
Goal & dual completion
How a user sets a health goal and sees it through: one of the most-used flows in the app.
Pure Score
Pura's headline health metric: the number a user checks most often.
A cybersecurity dashboard for Abu Dhabi
Alongside the Pura work, I took on a very different design problem: a cybersecurity dashboard for a mega facility in Abu Dhabi, built for security operators monitoring a large, high-stakes physical site rather than consumers managing their health. I started by researching how security professionals work, to see where usability and data readability broke down. Then I designed the dashboard to give operators a clearer, faster path from detecting an issue to acting on it, which improved incident-response efficiency and contributed to a 50% increase in revenue tied to the engagement.
Final outcome
Pura and the cybersecurity dashboard don't look alike on the surface, a consumer wellness app and an enterprise security tool for critical infrastructure, but I approached both the same way: work out what the person in front of the screen actually needs to do in that moment, then strip the interface down to make that as fast and clear as possible. At PureCS, that approach scaled from a health app used by thousands to a dashboard used by the handful of people responsible for keeping a facility safe.
